Day 1: Mexico City
October 30 - Friday: Mexico City Arrive at Mexico City international airport and transfer to hotel. Check-in and accommodation.
Day 2: Mexico City
October 31 - Saturday: Mexico City Departure to Mexico City Centro Historico to visit the cathedral, example of the colonial architecture, and the Templo Mayor. During the tour you can see the streets that were used as location for the movie "James Bond 007 Spectre". Arrive at the Zocalo and you will see many altares de muertos, tradition that inspires the Disney movie "Coco" Transfer back to hotel and lunch in hotel. During the afternoon there will be 2 make-up artists that can make-up you with Dia de Muertos style, including a flowers crown for women and a sombrero hat for men (there will be included also a kit to remove the make-up). Afternoon free to enjoy the great parade of the Día de Muertos (to be confirmed by the local authorities). Dinner at Villa Maria restaurant: Transfer to Villa Maria restaurant with mariachi live show. Transfer back to hotel and accommodation.
Day 3: Mexico City
November 01 - Sunday: Mexico City Transfer to Coyoacan, neighborhood located in the south part of the city; visit of the local market where colors and flavors will be the protagonist. Visit of Plaza Hidalgo, the Parroquia de San Juan and the Jardín Centenario where is located the famous Fuente de Coyotes. Continuation to Xochimilco and boat tour on a typical Trajinera in the channels to see the famous floating gardens. Lunch on board. Xochimilco is the place where the Toltecs took refuge after the fall of Tula. Coyoacan and Xochimilco will be completely decorated to celebrate the Dia de Muertos. Return to hotel and accommodation.
Day 4: Mexico City
November 02 - Monday: Mexico City Full day dedicated to visiting the archaeological site of Teotihuacan. Departure to the north part of the city and quick stop to the Basilica de Guadalupe, the largest pilgrimage center in Latin America. Continuation to Teotihuacan, "the place of Gods" in Aztec language. The imposing pyramids of the Sun and the Moon are connected by the "Avenue of the Dead" to the Temple of the Butterflies, the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, and the Citadel. Lunch in local restaurant. Return to hotel and accommodation.
Day 5:
November 03 - Tuesday: Mexico City Transfer to airport.
