Day 1: Carmel
Los Angeles - Santa Barbara - 17 Mile Drive - Carmel We will make our first stop in Santa Barbara to visit the site of a Spanish mission. Then we will head north to the town of Solvang via the 17 Mile Drive (part of Highway 1) and enjoy stunning views of the California coast up close. After our tour, we will visit the town of Carmel, where Clint Eastwood resides.
Day 2: San Francisco
San Francisco - Bay Cruise - Golden Gate Bridge - Chinatown Today we will understand why San Francisco is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We will start our tour at Fisherman’s Wharf with a cruise of the world-famous bay. On the way to Sausalito, we will have spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island. Next, we will return to Pier 39 to enjoy a leisurely lunch before an afternoon tour that will take us to famous city landmarks, such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Union Square, Chinatown, and Nob Hill. Our tour will conclude with a night view of the city from the Bay Bridge.
Day 3: Stevenson Ranch
San Francisco - Yosemite In summer: We will pass through the farmlands of the Joaquin Valley until we reach Yosemite National Park. This 1,200 square miles of stunning forests, lakes, and waterfalls is located in the Sierra Nevada. We will stop at El Capitan, Bridal Veil Falls, and Half Dome. From there, we will begin a hike from the Yosemite Visitor Center to Yosemite Falls, the tallest in North America (730 meters). In winter: We will start with a tour of Monterey, which includes the pier and Cannery Row; then we will continue our journey along the beautiful California coast with a visit to the town of Carmel-by-the-Sea, home of actor and director Clint Eastwood. We will have free time to stroll through the town and enjoy the lovely boutiques and galleries. After that, we will head south along the world-famous Highway #1, where we can see the spectacular California coast up close (small vehicles will travel the southern portion of Highway 1, while full-sized buses will exclusively cover the 17-mile stretch). In the afternoon, we will head to Stevenson Ranch for the night.
Day 4: Las Vegas
Stevenson Ranch - Las Vegas We will travel through the desert and Death Valley until we reach the gambling capital of the world: Las Vegas. We will stop for lunch at an outlet. In the evening, we will tour the famous street known as The Strip to admire some of the spectacular hotels built in the middle of the desert.
Day 5:
Las Vegas - Hoover Dam - Los Angeles After breakfast, we will depart from Las Vegas and head toward the Hoover Dam, where we will learn how this phenomenal human achievement was built and the impact it has had on the area. Following that visit, we will head west. Our excursion will conclude when we arrive in Los Angeles in the afternoon.
