New Vallarta México

Nuevo Vallarta (pronounced ['nweβo βa'ʎaɾta] in Spanish) is a planned residential-resort community situated in the Mexican state of Nayarit. It is approximately a fifteen-minute drive north from Puerto Vallarta's Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport. Nuevo Vallarta attracts numerous tourists from the United States and Canada and features many shopping centers and stores that accept payment in Mexican pesos or U.S. dollars. The project was initiated by the Mexican federal government over two decades ago. The community currently houses luxury villas and estates, which include canals surrounded by tropical gardens, each with their own private docking piers. The area also provides new deluxe resort amenities along more than 5 miles of white sandy beach. The marina development boasts a 3,000-slip state-of-the-art marina and a Padi 1-Star Career Development Dive Center. Condominiums are also available for both visitors and residents. Between 1980 and 1990, the population of Nuevo Vallarta grew from 57,028 to 111,457 residents. A new marina is currently under construction, and the builders have fifteen long-term lease programs. The construction involves the removal of existing docks, pilings, and ramps to make way for six new docks with 230 mooring spaces ranging from 22’ to 130’ long.
