Discovering Amsterdam: Canals, History and Culture

Upon arrival in Amsterdam, we will be greeted by our representative, who will be our chauffeur and guide throughout the trip, we will be greeted with a warm welcome. After settling in, we will take a walk around the surroundings to begin to get to know the essence of the city. We will visit the iconic Dam Square, the historic heart of Amsterdam, where the majestic Royal Palace and the Nieuwe Kerk are located. We will walk through the lively shopping streets such as Kalverstraat, full of life and charm. In the evening, we will walk along the canals, enjoying the lighting that reflects its magic on the water. We will end the day with a delicious dinner at our accommodation and rest for the adventures that await us.

After a comforting breakfast, we will head to the Amsterdam Museum, where we will be able to learn about the evolution of the city over the centuries. We will continue exploring the Jordaan Quarter, one of the most picturesque, with its canals lined with typical houses and hidden gardens. We will visit the Hofje Begijnhof, a haven of peace in the heart of the historic center.

We will have lunch at a local market (direct payment) and then we will tour the Vondelpark, the green lung of the city, where we will enjoy its relaxed atmosphere and admire its beautiful gardens and sculptures. In the afternoon, we will explore the Oud-West, a less touristy neighborhood but full of authentic corners. We will return to the accommodation for dinner and rest after a day of discoveries.

We will have breakfast before immersing ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the Albert Cuypmarkt, the most famous street market in Amsterdam, where we can browse among stalls of cheese, flowers and local products. Next, we will visit the Houseboat Museum, where we will learn about what life is like in one of the emblematic houseboats of the city.

In the afternoon, we will enter the De Pijp neighborhood, with its bohemian atmosphere and full of charming cafes. We will walk through the Oosterpark, a haven of tranquility in the eastern part of the city. We will end the day enjoying a cozy dinner in our accommodation and sharing the experiences of the trip.

On our last day, after breakfast, we will take a walk along the canals in the Grachtengordel district, admiring the unique architecture of the leaning houses and historic bridges. We will visit the Flower Market in Singel, where we can marvel at the variety of tulips and plants typical of the Netherlands. Before saying goodbye, we will explore the Amsterdam Public Library (OBA), which offers one of the best panoramic views of the city from its terrace.

With the image of the canals and their reflections in our memory, we will say goodbye to Amsterdam, taking with us the memory of its vibrant streets, its living history and its unique atmosphere.
